the problem with bottled ales is they can be quite different from the draft version  my local club does some cracking guest ales.
some real oddities in amongst them like one called palmers poison named after a murderer

morris dancers really? lager was produced for women as they could not drink bitter

been into this recently http://www.brewdog.com/product/punk-ipa

a tasty indian pale ale, made in scotland with all natural ingredients, drunk hapily in sydney.

also liking this czech pilsner http://www.beeriosity.com/date/2012/10/ ... lsner.html, goes well with summer lunches

but if i'm feeling local (to me!)

http://danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_256 ... e-stubbies, posh and tasty
http://danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_648 ... r-stubbies, local rot gut made by queesnlanders for queenslanders (dont buy the stuff brewed outside of queensland, australia!) also gives hangovers that you can build houses on

As a CAMRa member and homebrewer I resent that although Morris dancing and ale drinking do seem to cross sometimes. :-t

If you are into bottled beer white shield is quite common and used to be good, I find bottled beer tends to be quite thin and gassy compared to on draught though.

I done a pub management course a while back & one of the teachers described CAMRA folk as Plain clothes Morris Dancers. =)) =))

quite a few local brew house to me that I like.
we had dunham massey at the wedding, was lovely.
there is one at tatton too, also wonderful.

I can spit on the burtonwood brewery from where I live right now, which is about as close as I want to get to it these days, used to be a great drop, now some brown wet garbage in a glass, so much so that there isn't a local pub that serves it anymore.

The pub I frequent is a JW Lees, their fire dragon or draymans ale goes down well.

bottled, you arn't going to beat a sheapherds neame or a badger really, black sheep is pretty close and the cumberland ales if stored correctly can be tasty.
