As some of you know, last season I took on the role of manager for the local ladies team.
After much effing about we have started the new season with a full squad. They are not used to playing togehter so I don't expect much for the earlier games but that said we had our second league match against the current league leaders last Sunday and came away with a 3-1 defeat.
Here are the girls:
Tomorrow we have a county cup match against the bruisers from Stevenage, so I am not expecting a win but if the girls play like they did last weekend then at least the score difference won't be huge.
Wish us luck as I think we will need it.....
You can follow our progress HERE.
I have two RF 900 my green one and the orange bike that i built from bit's i now call it Wotsits , my other ride is a gsxr 1000 k3 , Suzuki make's bikes most others don't
yeah best of luck for the season mate, but as long as the girls enjoy it and have a laugh thats what matters. i used to play for a sunday league team up here and when we started we were shocking most games finished double figures, but, after a couple of seasons together and couple better players we started winning and eventually won the houliston cup( local cup for whole dumfries and galloway), most importantly we ALWAYS enjoyed the after match drink.....or two......or three. 8-} 8-} 8-}

Well, no, not exactly a win.
In fact it was a 9-0 defeat....
We only ended up having 10 players to start and 2 went out with injuries. The girls kept their heads up throughout though and had a good game despite the score difference.
As it was a county cup game we play teams from outside our division and Stevenage are 2 divisions above us. They go on to play Arsenal I think.
It was a clean game with a good ref (I gave him a score of 90). He said that he had not seen a team fight as hard as my girls, which in itself makes me proud of them.
