Dracs Hobbies

Post by Drac »

My main hobby after biking is Photography, especially at horse race meetings but anything that catches my eye. Here are a few of my favourite pictures. I also attempt watercolour paintings (pen and ink) and attempt to play guitar.

I used to be fanatical about photography, Used to do weddings, (Mega Stress) & some commercial stuff.
Loved getting up early, & going into the New Forest to see what was about. I loved photographing fungi, they keep nice and still as well. You cant beat a nice Phallis Impudicus with the dew on it. ;)

I love that water colour Drac. :good:

Thanks Bob - it was a rarity for me as I usually use pen and watercolour pencil style and postcard size pics.

As for wedding photography, no thanks.....simply to much responsibility

I really like your phots Drac, Although I've never got into it Ive always had a bit of an eye for photography.

I think the background is just as important as the foreground and like to look at the whole picture (in life aswell).

You probably already know I also atempt to play the guitar, 20 years and still trying!!
I'm more of a rythym man myself and even though Ive just bought an electric guitar my first passion are those people that can entertain with an accoustic and their voice, i try to sing and play at the same time, but my singing voice is Warrington really. :-l

Oh, did you know I also have an RF? 8-}

Jelly.

PS, im also a bit claustrophobic too, are we related?? :-?
I used to have a nice thick black mexican tash a few years ago but it had to come off as Mrs Jelly felt like an extra in a porn film! =))
And I was sick of all the homophobic remarks, YMCA and all that.

Me in our band in the Sixties. We supported many top acts of the day including,

The Yardbirds,
The Byrds,
Ike and Tina Turner,
Crazy World of Arthur Brown
Love Affair
and many many more

I played Bass guitar and sang harmony and the music we played was very varied from Adge Cutler and the Wurzels to Cream, from Beach Boys to The Kinks and all the usual stuff that was popular in the 60's

Nice Strat. Drac. I had one just like it. It felt so good without even playing a note. Which was just as well with me. ;)

Yeah - I'm no expert on a 6 string but once you start playing it seems to encourage you to be a bit better!! - does that make sense?

I have just been informed by the General manager of Berkeley Castle that the photograph (see below) I submitted has been selected for the 2011 Berkeley Calendar and I have an invitation to the Castle on August 26th when the overall winner will be announced

I took loads of pictures but only one entry [er person was accepted and so I decided to choose this one because it is well framed, with a central focus point (the balcony) and is probably a view few people would consider, and therefore, as I hope, unique!! I love the darkness to light contrast and thinks it works well - luckily so did someone else!!

As with many of my photos, it was not a standard photo but one which had me almost led on the floor :D
