Bike of the Month - June 2009 - PAUL65's RF900

This is my story so far
Until getting the RF, I had never really considered or noticed them to be honest, I was wanting another 1200 Bandit but the RF was a cheaper option - how glad I am that I bought the RF.
I found the RF forum and started to read up on them ,my decision was becoming an easy one from what I was learning about the bike. I posted, on the site, that I was looking for a bike and a member (tynedale) said he was thinking of selling his.
A week later and it was mine!!
Since owning the bike I have made a few little mods - nothing major just cosmetic looks the first which was a black screen - thanks Neil ...
then a trip to Mr archer for seat restyling made Corbin style and lifted 2"
it has Raask rear sets on which are ok but they’re not adjustable which is a shame
Then I jacked her up 25-35mm which has made a difference feels more responsive and the front end more planted. On a spirited ride to Matlock Bath I found my knees were sliding up/down the tank slides, so i found a stomp grip pad for either side, problem solved no more movement
I’ve done about 1000 miles in the 2 months I’ve had it and loved every one of them. To sum the bike up I would say it ticks all the right boxes - comfort, mpg, performance and style.
I can honestly see my self keeping this bike and that’s not like me - I must be getting old.... lol
Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully the RF’s we all own will keep giving us many happy safe miles in return for a bit of TLC now and again
